$\LaTeX$ Test!
I'll be writing a lot of math, so being able to incorporate \(\LaTeX\) into my posts is essential. To this end I use MathJax, which allows you to write inline math expressions such as $\frac{1+\sqrt{-163}}{2}$ or standalone equations:
$$\frac{df}{dx} = \frac{1}{2} \left(\frac{ab \textrm{ sech}^2(b \sqrt{x})}{x} - \frac{a \tanh(b \sqrt{x})}{x^{3/2}} \right).$$
Hopefully these render once I get the MathJax plugin working properly...
[Edit] Looks like it's working!

Hello World!
Hi Everyone!
I'm sure I'll look back on this first post and lament about its lack of meaningful content.
I've been accepted into the Google Summer of Code 2014. My project is to implement efficient analytic rank computation in Sage, the open source mathematical computing package whose development is headed up by my advisor, William Stein. Part of the parcel of working for GSoC is to blog your progress, so here we go.
My posts will hopefully detail this journey, as well as making ample references to hats, the other great love of my life.
